Frequently Asked Questions
If you can’t find the answers to your questions here, then please feel free to contact me. I’ll be more than happy to assist you.
Where is the private community hosted?
The community will be held in a private Facebook group. I recognise many people no longer use Facebook but you can still access the group. All you need is an account without any friends added so no-one will know you have it. Some members even use a pseudonym which is perfectly fine, just remember to tell me so I know it’s you when I add you.

Can my family members see that I am a member of private community?
No. The group is secret so nobody can see that the group exists at all. Only the people who join The Sanctuary can find the group and they are bound by strict privacy agreements not to share information outside the group.
What happens in the private community group?
You’ll be able to participate in live rounds of each course if you prefer to do them that way. There will also be conversations, information, creative inspiration, art therapy and therapeutic journalistic activities as well as quizzes, daily prompts, live Q & A’s, tutorials and challenges. Mostly there will be a community with those who can acknowledge and validate your experiences because they’ve been there too.
How do the e-courses work?
Once you join us you’ll get immediate access to all the courses currently available. You’ll be able to download them onto your computer and work through them either in your own time or together in our community where there will be live rounds of each course scheduled regularly. All courses come in gorgeous colour PDF’s for you to keep forever.
What if I don't get through all the resources in a year?
You are welcome to rejoin us at the end of your 12-month membership. You will receive a renewal notice for another year’s membership so you can remain in the community and continue to access new resources as they are added.

Do I have to join the private community?
No. It is completely optional, however many people find it useful to have the support and access to the extra activities provided there. If you’d rather access the e-courses on your own, that’s fine too.
What if the material brings up stuff that overwhelms me?
There is a whole e-course designed to taking care of yourself while working through activities and courses that may bring up ‘stuff’. It is also a good idea to have a therapist or other support person to talk to while doing this work. For some people that means the private Facebook community but for others, it will be someone in their local community. The key to this work is to take it slowly and make sure there are plenty of resources and support to draw on. It is counterproductive to get to a state of overwhelm and we do our best to ensure it never happens.
Can I just do individual courses on their own?
Absolutely. There will be live sessions in the private community but you don’t have to join them to do the coursework. It is just as effective to do them on your own and in your own time.
How much time will this take up each week?
You can spend as little as a few minutes or as much time as you want. It depends on what your goals are but it’s always important to give yourself some time for self-care – our activities and courses may be a great way for you to do that for yourself.
Can I have individual sessions with you?
Yes, there will be individual coaching sessions available if you find you need some extra intensive work while engaging in the courses and activities available in The Sanctuary.
I'm not very good with tech. What if I can't work things out?
There is not much required in the way of technical aspects, but any time you get stuck with something email me and I will do my best to get it sorted out as soon as possible.
